I Confess

I confess that I'm not living up to what You made me to be,
But I am crying out to You now and I know You can hear me.
I confess that I haven't been making the most of my time,
Help me to live my life every day, the way You had it in mind.

I confess that I haven't been doing to work You sent me to do,
But from now on, I'm going to live every day only for You.
I confess that I have ignored Your Spirit when it came to my heart,
But I'm going to begin to do what You said was my part.

I confess that I can't do this without You, though I've tried,
From now on I'm going to work on my sin, my worry, and my pride.
I confess that my life hasn't been the best reflection of You,
Help me not to fall away from Your Word and everything true.

I confess that I give things up too easily and can become lazy,
I know I've made my share excuses and lies instead of being ready.
I confess that I haven't done the things the right way,
But I'm going to change every bit of those things today.

I confess that I have had more fear for man than fear for You,
But from now on, I'm gonna do the work You've called me to do.
I confess that I haven't been doing the work of the body,
No more wasted time, I'm stopping my all my worry.

No time to stop and talk, no time for anger to rise,
No time for my petty sins, no time for any lies.
No time for anymore wasting, no time for any fear,
'Cause it's time to move on forward, I can't stop and stand here.

No time to look the other way, no time to think instead of do,
No time to not do my best, no time to not believe what's true.
No time to be watching worthless things, that I can't allow,
No time to just be living the way I'm living now.

So this is the time I commit myself to You,
This is the time I'm gonna do what You've ask me to do.
I'll go wherever You send, say what You want me to say,
I'm gonna live for You every minute of every day.
